Heavy sigh. Firecat has retired. After almost 20 years on the airshow circuit, it was time for the Cat to take it easy. Covid put a big dent in the airshow schedule. OK, it totally killed airshows in 2020, and 2021 was not exactly a banner season, either—even for an act with as much flash as Firecat—so Rich has relinquished his cherished mount to a new owner who will take good care of the Cat in its next life as an easy going retiree.
For the record, Rich is not retiring. Well, at least, he’s not going to stop flying and instructing. He jokes, “I’m actually working on my third retirement, but I just can’t seem to get a handle on it…”
THANKS! to all of you who have made it worth all the work to show the Firecat at airshows across the United States and Canada. It was a great ride!
